    How To Dismantle A Pallet

There are several ways to dismantle a pallet. This is the method I recommend, which uses a pinch bar or crowbar as a lever…..

    • Force the bar down between the boards of the pallet and the frame. Initially you may find it easier to use a chisel to open a gap.

    • Strike the bar with a hammer to prise the timbers apart.

    • You can cut the nails with a disc cutter if the timbers refuse to come apart. However remember to remove the nails before using them in your workpiece.
