Outdoor living needn’t cost a fortune. Here are a few ideas to transform your garden into an outdoor room….
Patio Table Drinks Holder
Keep those valuable drinks cool with this cooler box made from a reclaimed pallet.
Excellent step by step instructions and lots of photographs.
FolkArt Home texture chalk paint was used to give a slight texture and a matte, distressed finish.
The holder was given an antique appearance using a stain to distress the paint.
Hanging Wall Garden
Brighten up those bare walls with this hanging garden.
Reclaimed cedar fence boards and scrap 4 x 2 are used to create this hanging garden. Everything has been stained to give a uniform look.
Sedums and succulents have been planted in this garden, however herbs would grow better in deeper troughs.

Adirondack Chair

Pallet Chair instructables.com
The Adirondack Chair was designed by Thomas Lee in 1903. His family owned a property in Westport, which lies in the Adirondack Mountains NY.
Lee gave his plans to a local carpenter, Harry Bunnell, who developed the design and sold Adirondack Chairs for 20 years. Many different versions have followed.

Seat Around A Tree

Bench Around A Tree
View every corner of your garden from this ‘wrap around a tree’ seat
Use 6 x 2 inch boards for the seats and 4 x 2 for the back and finish with a sealer and varnish.
Don’t drive any nails into the tree as they may affect its health….construct an independent frame to nail the boards to.
Whiskey Barrel Chair

Outdoor Barrel Chair
This is my favourite chair…..such a robust design.
You can probably source all of the staves you require from just one barrel.
The dark lines on the seat and back are where the circular steel rings have been.
Ideal for comfortable outdoor living.

Lockable Outdoor Bar

Outdoor Bar organizeyourstuffnow.com
This outdoor bar is perfect for barbeque parties. It can be locked when not in use, but the front lowers to form a shelf to serve from when the action begins. Hidden lights make it the centre of attraction.
